Welcome to the North East Athletic Hall of Fame!

North East, Pennsylvania is home to acres of fragrant fruit, miles of Lake Erie shore, and an abundance of accomplishment in the field of athletics. This site honors those individuals and teams.  The Athletic Hall lauded its first inductees in 2015.

The primary objectives of the hall is to honor the achievements of the past and to motivate future athletes to even more triumphs. 

The North East Athletic Hall of Fame was founded as a cooperative effort between alumni of North East High School and St. Gregory’s High School, which is also located in North East and which closed in 1968.  Athletes, coaches, and teams who won league, district, and state laurels have been named to the hall; many have also achieved in athletics beyond high school. Each year, between 6-14 individuals and one or more teams are honored.

The North East Athletic Hall of Fame celebrates inductees with a banquet, usually held between July and September. 

The North East Athletic Hall of Fame will next induct its next class in 2026. 

Nominees for induction are due February 28 and the new class is announced in spring. Individuals interested in nominating others or themselves can find an application on this website.  If you fill out the hard copy of the nomination form, please email it to Terry Frontino at tfronti@gmail.com

Current (2025-26) Committee Members are: Dick Gregg, Dick Kennedy, Terry Frontino, Sherry Elchynski, Adrienne Hassenplug, Michelle Miller, Dave Lanahan, Rick Maas, Curtis Bailey, and Alexandrea Artise.
